Learning how to be more confident is an important life skill. Self confidence is the principal component in being unstoppable in your endeavors. When you look confident, people will rely on you and your abilities more. Whether or not it is deserved, we equate confidence with competence.

Most people are not confident in every single area of their life. Depending on the situation, most people will feel a different level of confidence. Some folks will rely on their social position or career status for a feeling of self worth when they have low self confidence. The lack of self confidence often returns when the job changes or the social status shifts.

Lack of self confidence can happen as a result of a disapproving parent and their harsh comments. For that matter, those types of comments often come from other authority figures such as a teacher or other member of the family. You might find yourself begining to repeat the same critical comments that you have heard so often from others. Your own inner critic begins to take shape. You begin to tell yourself that you are never smart enough or good enough. These thoughts usually occur when you are in an unfamiliar situation. You find yourself the most concerned when you are uncertain about what might happen. You get that feeling of anxiety and 'fight or flight' kicks in.


You can begin to build self confidence by not letting these thoughts and feelings to take over. Hypnosis is a proven strategy to help you do that. It makes sense then to realize that you can learn how to gain confidence when that is your intention.


Simple, optimistic thoughts can be imprinted on the subconscious mind when you are in a relaxed and focused state. You'll improve confidence as you replace the negative self talk with positive thoughts and ideas. Deep rooted issues can be accessed and resolved leaving you feeling more at ease in many situations.
